How an Infrared Inspection Works
Infrared inspections utilize specialized cameras, often referred to as FLIR (Forward Looking Infrared) or simply IR cameras. These cameras detect variations in heat signatures, creating thermal images that translate temperature differences into color variations. The thermal image uses a color palette to represent different temperature ranges. Generally, brighter colors (red, orange, yellow) indicate hotter areas, while darker colors (blue, black) represent cooler areas. By interpreting these color variations, our inspectors can identify potential problems within your home.
